Banana Berry Twirl

I love berries and I love bananas. Plus they are extremely good for you. On a quick day out of the house I love whipping up this easy to make smoothie.

3 Yummy Mummy Breakfast Smoothies

It’s perfect for summer, with a vibrant colour and vitamins and essential nutrients come from the delicious fruit and superfood grains. I also love the added cinnamon, which I try to use in every smoothie as it has great anti-oxidants and helps to lower blood sugar levels.

If you’re looking for a light and fruity yummy mummy breakfast smoothie, this is the one for you.

Ingredients:

1 whole banana, 2 – 3 handfuls of vibrant blueberries, 3 tablespoons of low fat natural Greek yogurt, 1 teaspoon of silky honey, 1 flat teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of flaxseeds and 1 heaped teaspoon of coconut granules. Throw in a few ice cubes to make it really chilled, or just 1/4 cup of water.

If you are feeling extra specially hungry, for those hungry days we all know about, add some oats to give it that extra nourishment.

Choco Nuts

Craving chocolate? You should probably consult your blender before leaving the house. It’ll definitely whip you up the perfect mixture of deep chocolate and creamy nuttiness to get you on your way.

3 Yummy Mummy Breakfast Smoothies

Healthy chocolate smoothies are at the top of my go-to list! Who doesn’t want to indulge in some chocolate and not feel guilty? I’ll put my hand up first and say “me” for sure.

For you chocoholics out there, this yummy mummy breakfast smoothie is the breakfast mix up you need. Plus, it’s incredibly good for you and the nut butter and cocoa will give you some much needed protein and energy, so you can even forget about making that coffee run.

Ingredients:

1/2 or a whole banana, 3 heaped teaspoons of raw cocoa powder, 3 teaspoons of yummy almond butter, 3 tablespoons of natural coconut yogurt, 1 handful of crunchy walnuts, 1 flat teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of flaxseeds. Throw in a few ice cubes to make it really chilled, or just 1/4 cup of water.

Once again on those really hungry days add some wholesome oats.

Spiced Apple

This spiced apple, yummy mummy breakfast smoothie is autumn and winter in a cup. My favourite of all three of these smoothies, it’s scrumptious and delicious with a spicy sweetness. This smoothie has very few ingredients and is my go to in the colder months.

As they say, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Plus, mixed with delicious medjool dates, this smoothie has a natural sweetness that will curb your desire for treats, all day long.

Ingredients:

1 whole crisp green apple, 3 pitted sweet medjool dates, 1 teaspoon of honey, 3 tablespoons of low fat natural Greek yogurt, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of flaxseeds and half a vanilla pod’s seeds (slice and scrape out the seeds). Throw in a few ice cubes to make it really chilled, or just 1/4 cup of water.

Once again on those really hungry days add some wholesome oats.

All of these smoothies are full of healthy nutrients, protein and fats. I hope you all enjoy these delicious energising treats and are able to gain a little more time on a daily basis from them.
