There is something so special about a personalised keepsake.
Do you love personalised gifts?
I certainly do. With the holidays coming, I’m already researching and planning all the gifts for my family and friends. If you are stuck for ideas, why not treat someone special to something personalised to them?
Recently I’ve discovered the most beautiful little personalised company called Angelcasts and I cannot stop recommending them to family, friends and everyone I meet.
Have a look at what they made for us and see why we are so in love!
Children are so precious. It’s quite frightening how fast they grow up. It seems like only yesterday that Evie was a newborn baby, that was merely a few days old.
I’ve always loved the idea of capturing her hands and footprints while she’s still small, but have never quite got around to it.
Now she’s two years old and time is ticking. Every month she grows so much more and before we know it she’s going to be a fully fledged little girl, with nothing baby-like about her at all.
When the lovely Ami from Angelcasts got in touch, and asked us to review one of their personalised hand or footprint bracelets, we couldn’t resist and just had to say yes.
Just have a look below at the designs, aren’t they just gorgeous?
Who are Angelcasts?
Angelcasts is run by Ami, a mama to two little ones who are both under four years old. Ami previously had a successful career in prop making and life casting.
Whilst she was pregnant she found that she could no longer use some of the chemicals that she worked with. So she decided to work for herself, creating beautiful baby castings and fingerprint jewellery, with materials that were safe to use. We are so glad she did!
So, how do you capture a hand or foot print?
I know I’ve been put off from getting personalised prints done before, because I assumed it was a very long and difficult process.
I couldn’t have been more wrong. It’s so easy and the results are really worthwhile.
At the start of your order with Angelcasts, Ami sends you a pack that includes specialist wipes and paper. You can use the wipes to capture either a hand, a footprint, or fingerprint.
The process is so simple. All you do is wipe your child’s hand or foot with the specialist wipes and press it onto the supplied paper. There are several pieces of paper included, in case you need to redo the process due to wiggly children.
Next, you put your favourite print in the supplied ‘pre-paid’ envelope and post it off to Ami.
How easy is that?
I don’t want a hand or foot print, can I have anything else?
Yes! Amy creates a whole range of products. You can have 3D casts created or bespoke jewellery, capturing anything from finger prints to dogs noses, to your child’s favourite doodle. Take a look at the Angelcasts website for Ami’s whole range of unique personalised keepsakes.
Personalised Leather Bracelet
We chose to review the ‘Print Charm and Leather Bracelet‘. This unique bracelet comes in a whole range of designs.
You can choose all of the details; from the colour of the leather strap, to the shape of the charm (circle, heart, rectangle etc), to what type of personalised print you want on it (doodle, handprint, thumbprint etc).
We opted for a heart shape and to have Evie’s handprint engraved on the charm. I also loved the turquoise coloured strap, but there are so many colour options.
Making The Product
When Ami receives your prints in the post, she sets to work on creating your design. Products can take anything between 2-5 weeks to get back to you.
Ami is so helpful and informative. Throughout the whole process, she made sure to keep in touch, to update us on our order. She even sent through some pictures of the work in process, which got us really excited for our delivery.
The Finished Design
When the finished design arrived, I must admit, I was more than a little bit bowled over at how perfect the bracelet is.
We are completely, head over heels in love with the finished product. It is so beautiful and so much better than I imagined.
When the bracelet arrived, it came complete in a luxury box embossed with the Angelcasts logo. We loved the fact that the charm didn’t just have Evie’s handprint on, but it also was engraved with her name, which made the bracelet even more special and personalised.
The first thing we noticed, was how simple the bracelet is to take on and off, with an attached magnetic clasp. Despite the simplicity, it still feels really secure on.
The colour of the strap is also really striking and the bracelet goes well with so many outfits, whether you’re having a casual day or dressing up for the evening.
The quality of the bracelet is expectational. The charm is a lot thicker than I expected and it both looks and feels really durable.
We have had an unbelievable amount of compliments on the bracelet. I’ve never seen a personalised handprint bracelet, quite like it. It is more than worth the £85 you pay for it.
If you’re ever stuck on gift ideas, why not try Angelcasts? Your partner, family member or friend, will be so made up with their personalised keepsake. We will certainly cherish our bracelet forever. Thank you so much Ami!
