Happy Friday! How quickly has this week gone? I’ve barely even blogged which is so unlike me. I’ve been so caught up in Easter, sad family news and other work.
Scarily my step Dad was rushed into hospital on Tuesday as his pacemaker has come through his chest wall and caused an infection. We’re all trying to stay really positive, but it’s going to be a waiting game to find out when they can operate. Despite the crappy, horrible news, I’ve been really focusing on the lots of lovely #Littleloves I’ve had this week.
Here’s what I’ve been loving this week:
I’ll Always Take My Children Away During Term Time – by Dear Little Daisy. If you have children of school age, this is such an interesting read. Just like Jodie who writes Dear Little Daisy, I am such a believer of travel being so incredible for children. Yet I hate the fact that its a struggle to take children out of school during term time.
With my daughter starting school next year, I already know from the nature of my work and from her fathers work that in order for us to ever go on holidays with her, taking her out of school will have to be our option. It’s great to hear someone else’s thoughts of agreement on this.
13 Reasons Why – My sister put this on this week and I am now addicted. Do you want the perfect binge watching programme? This is it! Drama, mystery, keeps you wanting more? Check! Every episode leaves you with more questions unanswered but not in an annoying way.
I’ll pre-warn you…if you plan to watch one episode, leave yourself time for more. You’ll want to keep watching till the end of the series!
Beach Vibes on Spotify. It’s been so sunny and we’ve spent a lot of time out in the garden and on the beach this week. This has been my ultimate sunny day playlist.
Chill out vibes, reggae music…it’s the perfect soundtrack to chilled Spring days.
Googly Fruit – I was sent a very delicious package of healthy snacks for Evie this week. Googly fruit are a company with ‘fun healthy eating’ as their core message. We were lucky enough to try out some of their yummy snacks including; pure fruit purees, organic healthy crisps and dried fruit packs to nibble on.
In the package there were some fun Googly eyes and stickers, so that we could decorate our own fruit and vegetables. Evie loved helping out with this and loves even more than she gets to see her new fruity friends sat in the fruit bowl.
Dungarees Dress – I have walked past this dress in a shop window for weeks now. Then, suddenly a couple of days ago the window was changed. The first time I walked past and noticed I felt really sad which is so silly. It’s just a dress!
After a week of it not being there and still thinking about it, I just had to pop into the shop. It was PERFECT timing as they only had one left and it just happened to be in my size. Fate? That’s my excuse anyway! 🙂 I bought it straight away and I am so in love with it. It fits like a dream and is perfect for spring and summer.
It’s a yearly tradition to make Evie an Easter basket full of Easter themed treats. Last week I saw these Easter themed crayons advertised on Facebook and couldn’t resist getting them for her basket.
I always try and avoid edible goods because she gets so much from other family members. I love that these came in an egg box and the fun vibrant little shapes are really adorable.
My favourite is the little bunnies and the easter egg itself. These crayons were from a company called ‘Little Scribbles’. They make crayons in a whole range of shapes, colours and sizes and even make personalised crayons for birthdays and special occasions.
