BLOGGING FROM BLUESTONE

BLOGGING FROM BLUESTONE

As I type this, I’m sat outside our gorgeous lodge at Bluestone National Park. I’m sipping on a glass of wine and basking in the evening sun, as Evie is busying herself by collecting the stones that surround our lodge and putting them into one pile. Our very own Makka Pakka.

It’s nearly 6 o clock in the evening, but it’s still so beautiful outside.

Today is such a welcome surprise weather wise, as driving up to here yesterday from Cornwall, was a little bit scary. Five hours of windy roads and then motorways in torrential rain was not fun.

But it was so worth it for where we are. All I can hear around me right now are the birds singing and a few children playing outside their lodges. Other than that it’s perfectly quiet.

This mini holiday away has been so welcome. We’ve been here for 24 hours and already it is the most perfect holiday, especially for Evie. I feel so relaxed and at the same time Evie has been really entertained. What more could you ask for?

If you haven’t heard of Bluestone before, it’s a National Park in Wales. It’s absolutely incredible and it’s tailored especially for families of ALL ages.

I’ll be writing an actual review of Bluestone next week, but for now I’ll just leave you with a few pictures of our holiday so far, as really I should be making the most of this time to relax.

In true blogger style though, I’ve been way too tempted to check my social media and take 100’s of pictures.

Blogging At BluestoneI couldn’t resist sharing a few of our snaps so far though. Today we’ve gone for a beautiful walk around the lake. Enjoyed some fun walking around the Village and playing in the park.

Blogging At Bluestone

Enjoyed a delicious lunch in an outdoor camp in the forest where we got to toast marshmallows over an open fire, followed by an afternoon swim and a drive around the park in our very own golf buggy!

Tomorrow we’re looking forward to taking part in some of the provided messy play activities specifically designed for toddlers.

If you’re looking for a family break away, keep your eyes peeled for my up and coming post. I have a feeling you’re going to want to book here.

Bluestone is fabulous, we went in January. Go check out “Anna’s Welsh Zoo” (details are on my blog http://www.littlemisstiggy.com or Google ?) it’s not far from Bluestone and your daughter will love it there! You can feed the wallabies and their “walk throughs” are great for little ones xoxo
