‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro’ the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.’

I cannot tell you how much we love Christmas eve in our family. For us, its just as exciting as Christmas day. We decided to start a tradition the year Evie was born, where every Christmas eve, Evie would open a Christmas eve box, full of things that would help her get ready for the big day. While us grown ups would open our stockings, while we sipped on mulled wine.

Making a Christmas eve box has now become one of our favourite family Christmas traditions.

Our Christmas eve box typically contains Christmas pyjamas, a festive book, a decoration for the tree and party wear for the next day.

This year, The White Company have sent us the most gorgeous Christmas eve box. It’s going to make this Christmas eve night, the most magical and enchanting yet. Have a look at what’s inside:

Everything inside the box can be purchased separately from The White Company. That way you can build you own box, or simply just get one or two items that you love from their Christmas shop. Here’s a little bit more about the contents:

Christmas Eve Box

The first thing in our box is a stocking. We have actually scoured shops for the perfect stocking for Evie for the last few years and haven’t been able to find one we love until now. I’ve always wanted a traditional, knitted stocking and this one is absolutely gorgeous. I can’t wait to fill this full of little treats for Evie, and hang it by the fireplace.

Christmas Letters

The second thing in the box and possibly my favourite item, is the special envelope for those all important Christmas letters to Santa. How beautiful is this? I think the embroidered Christmas tree stamp is such a lovely added touch and it also has a really adorable little button on the back to seal it. I know that this envelope is something that’s going to be treasured for years to come and I love that it’s something that can potentially be passed down through the generations.

Christmas Pjs

Next in the box is their super soft pjs and Christmas slippers. How cosy do these look? We love how tasteful the designs are. It’s so hard to find Christmas pyjamas that are simple and not emblazoned with characters. The slipper boots are so sweet too. They are lined with a furry material and are super warm and soft. They’ll definitely keep Evie’s little toes snug throughout the rest of Winter. I wish I had a pair like this!

Christmas Ornament

The next thing in the box, is this gorgeous little knitted friend for the Christmas tree. Every year, just before Evie goes to bed on Christmas eve, she adds one last ornament to the Christmas tree. This year it’ll be Snowy the penguin who is exclusive to The White Company. He is a special ornament who will watch out for Santa and make sure the sacks and stockings are brimming with presents in time for the next morning.

Christmas Eve Tale

Christmas eve wouldn’t be complete without a festive tale to read to Evie before she goes to sleep and the last thing in the box is a festive book.

This book is also exclusive to The White Company and is called ‘A Christmas Wish’. It’s a book all about Snowy the Penguin and Lumi the polar bear. It’s such a sweet tale and shows how the magic of Christmas can bring people together.

I am so excited for Christmas eve this year. I do find that Christmas is way more magical now I’m a parent. It’s so heart-warming getting to pass down the excitement of Christmas to a new generation. I can’t wait for Evie to see her Christmas eve box this year either and I love that we’ve got some new beautiful items that we can cherish for years to come!

From both The White Company and Life Unexpected, we wish you all a very merry Christmas.

What do you think of The White Company’s gorgeously enchanting Christmas items? Do you make a Christmas eve box for your children?

I do a Christmas Eve Basket for my boys every year and it is by far my most favourite Christmas tradition. I love taking the time to source items that go a long way to making their Christmas as magical as possible. That ‘A Christmas Wish’ book looks beautiful, will definitely be snapping that up! xx

Oh this is stunning and I love all of the items. My little girl has been a bit too young to appreciate a Christmas Eve Box in previous years but I think this year I will put one together for her! 🙂
