#Littleloves is starting to have a really big influence on my life. It has fast become my weekly beacon of light. Firstly, I love being able to reflect back on all the positive things that I’ve been loving this week and ignoring anything poopy! And secondly, this Linky is encouraging me to read more, make more crafts and explore different musics.

This week has been really lovely. I’m really starting to find a happy balance with work/evie/home/love/life this week and I have been trying to make the most of any free time I have. Here’s what I’ve been loving this week:

Finding Balance – How To Juggle The World And Not Lose Yourself – by Celery and Cupcakes. This post has been so helpful in the last few weeks. If you’re feeling swamped by…well everything and anything, then read this post. I’ve been doing every single one of the tips in this post and its made such a huge difference to me. Especially the ‘make time to yourself everyday‘ part. As difficult as it might seem to find the time, even ten minutes can make a huge difference!

Legally Blonde – I love this film and I haven’t seen it in way too long. I love everything about Elle and how she strives for what she wants with such confidence. She doesn’t apologise for who she is or hide it, something we could all probably do a little bit more.

I’ve also watched some trailers that have made me super excited for upcoming shows. The first one is Girlboss! It’s loosely based on the life of famous #Girlboss Sophie Amoruso so I can’t wait to see how she went from having an ebay store to an empire.

The second trailer that has made me excited is the one for Cable Girls. I love the storyline behind this new show and I love even more that it’s in French. It’ll make such a nice difference to watch a show in another language.

I also seriously love the fashion in this era, so I can’t wait to see all the costumes, hair and make-up. There is a bit of a ‘feminine’ girlboss theme going on by these three options, but I think I need a little inspiration from confident women who are all trying to make a difference.

Late Night Jazz on Spotify. I’m really experimenting with music at the moment and I’m enjoying a lot more genres than I used to (a sign of getting older?).

We had a really unexpected, and super cute, romantic night in this week. Bottle of red wine, dimmed lights, pasta, candles and good music. It was a beautiful evening, made complete by the fact that we dined on the fluffy rug in front of the fireplace instead of at the table.

I’m really enjoying listening to jazz at the moment and this playlist was the musical backdrop to our date night in. It was so perfect and really set the tone for the evening. Theres something so uniquely gripping about Jazz. It’s relaxing, sophisticated and it really makes you want to slow dance.

An easter egg hunt obstacle course! – Co-Op sent me an Easter egg hunt box this week as part of their #Goodegg campaign. The idea behind the campaign is that you gift the box to someone who has been amazing this year. I gifted mine to Evie.

She is always so patient with me, my crazy working hours and our general hectic lifestyle. Not only is she always back and forth between my house and her dads, but she also has pre-school and nursery on different days too. How she adapts to it all is beyond impressive and I am so glad that this week I have had a lot more time to shower her with undivided attention. She was so excited about this Easter egg hunt amd she kept peeking out the window to try and spy where I was hiding the eggs.

Sandals – It’s been sunny this week! Wahoo! I’ve actually worn sandals pretty much EVERY SINGLE DAY. Sunshine makes me feel so amazing and I hate wearing shoes (yup I’m one of those), so as soon as my feet can become a little more free I’m happy.

Unfortunately I have worn one of my sandals so much that the soles have worn and snapped. But, I see it as a really good excuse to go shopping!

And Lastly…

I’m off for a ‘Spa taster evening’ tonight at the Retallack Resort in Cornwall. I can’t wait! Especially because I get to take Aitan along with me for a little light pampering. I think it’s a press evening so I’m not sure how tranquil it’ll be, but mini treatments have been promised so I’m excited to see what it’s like.

What items have you been loving this week? Let me know in the comments below.

  • Hope you had fun at the spa, I’m rather jealous! Girlboss looks brilliant as does cable girls. I actually understood the trailer without having to resort to subtitles so it seems I understand more Spanish than I thought thanks to my stint living in Spain.
