I am super excited about the new Epson EcoTank (or ET-3600) printer that I received in the post. I guess it’s silly to work yourself up about technology these days, as nothing seems to surprise me. However, this innovative eco-friendly printing technology, really proves that we’re heading in the right direction.

Don’t you get the feeling sometimes, that your home office needs a little more spark, or perhaps it requires a little more business friendly technology? That is my aim with this new printer, to reduce my running costs and make my business more efficient and reliable.

I print a lot of documents as part of my work. I also love creating family albums and find it so much more cost effective, printing off beautiful photos at home. The one thing that always irritates me though, is ink cartridges running out and having to print off everything with my laptop attached to the printer.

Who wouldn’t want to print a document, whiles relaxing on a beach half way across the world, right?

Say Goodbye To Ink Cartridges

Okay, so yes this printer actually does magically print from half way across the world. The wireless technology means that if you so choose, you could be sat on the beach in the Mediterranean and can print documents back home with the touch of a button.

But, the most important feature isn’t the clever printing, it’s the no more ink cartridges. Instead of ink cartridges, there is an integrated ultra-high-capacity ink tank system and the printer comes instead, with ink bottles and refills. This “magic” ink can print you up to 11,000 pages of black and white or colour! Now cartridges are starting to sound old fashioned. With a straightforward re-fill mechanism, you won’t have to worry about mess either and the ink bottles last for about two years!

Sleek and professional is one way to describe it. It has really easy to use compartments, even I could figure it out. It also has a fold up print out tray so those hot and fresh prints don’t go flying, making a mess everywhere. The front screen is easy to follow and the keypad buttons are clear and responsive.

Star Features

Not only does it save you 74% in printing costs by using its ink tank system, additionally it can print double-sided pages, saving you even more on paper! As discussed above, the main star feature is Epson’s new Connect features such as the Epson iPrint application, or Epson Email Print for your personal email. This allows you to print directly to your office or home, from anywhere in the world! That idea just sounds great, it doesn’t leave much room for improvement.

On top of all this the EcoTank prints high quality documents, including picture’s. You know all those family photos that you have on your phone? Don’t just let them sit there. Wirelessly send them to your printer and finally get around to displaying them proudly in your home.

No longer do you need to sit next to your printer and plug it in. No longer do you need to send all your documents to your laptop or desktop to print. Have an iPad? A phone? A tablet? You can print from any device you like.

The Set Up

Even a mama like me can set this thing printer up really easily. Only one plugin wire, a few fills of ink, and you’re pretty much good to go. Everything else is completed in the settings and through your laptop installation.

Oh and how could I forget, it’s extremely light, like seriously. I was a bit worried a few parts were missing, but then the thought of Epson, not another cheap brand, reassured me its all there and proper.

Thank you to Epson for sponsoring this post, and working in collaboration with us to find our next home office essential!

Keep your eyes peeled for our up and coming office renovation. We’ll be posting the before and after, so be sure to try and spot the new Epson printer in it’s new home.

What do you think of the Epson Ecotank printer? What’s your favourite feature? Would you use it for family photos or business?

This sounds amazing! The worst thing about a printer is when it runs out of ink and you don’t have any replacements. This would be brilliant xx

Oh, this sounds brilliant! I have tried to get cartridges refilled for my existing printer, and used non-branded ones, but found they didn’t work as well. I love that this is such an eco-friendly option and great it is so easy to use and you can use it long-distance too!
