So, we all know that beautiful images make your blog eye-catching don’t we?
Luxurious lifestyle pictures, mouthwatering plates of food, gorgeous photos of families enjoying the sunshine together, even beautiful flat lay photos of a macbook and a coffee, can be enough to get you hooked on a blog post.
Some people spend hours composing the perfect picture for their blog; getting the lighting right, blurring out the backgrounds, making sure its edited to perfection.
But sometimes, we just don’t have the time to do all of that.
So, how do you get incredible photos for your blog without taking them yourself, without getting them illegally and without paying a fortune?
Did you know that there are so many amazing websites where you can get free stock photos. Yes FREE! No catches, no sign ups, no hidden fees.
They’re in the public domain and as long as they’re used following the requirements of the particular website, then you can use them to your hearts desire.
The majority of images I use, I do take myself. Especially of family days out and of products we get sent.
But, occasionally if I’m doing a tutorial post, a post full of tips and tricks or any sponsored posts, I often use free stock images as they save me time and still add perfectly to the message reflected in my writing.
So do you desperately need a food shot for your post?
Or maybe you need a shot of a city…
Or maybe quite simply you just need an image to insert into a post, telling others about how to get free beautiful images for your blog…

A QUICK NOTE ABOUT LICENSES
License terms do still apply with free stock photos as they do with regular stock photos.
The images that are available, are usually licensed under creative commons. This means that you can copy, modify, and distribute the image, even if it’s for commercial purposes, without having to ask for permission.
However, you cannot sell the images! There are also some sites or images that might require you to add an attribution of some description, so always check the permissions of the images you need to use first.
