It has been so long since I’ve taken part in Little Loves! I’ve spent the last six weeks having a bit of a blogging break so I can refocus and work on some back end things that I’ve been putting off for a long time.
I’ve really missed writing posts and being on social media and I’ve been so excited for this week so I can start again in full force. Little Loves is one of my ultimate favourite linky’s. If you’re new to my Little Loves posts, it’s the place where I share everything I’ve been loving this week from what I’ve read, watched, listened to, made and worn.
How To Talk To Absolutely Anyone. Readers of Life Unexpected will have heard time and time again about how shy I am and how much of an introvert I am. I’ve been making such an effort lately to talk to new people and to try to overcome my shyness.
This book has been an amazing help. It’s been showing my ways to be more confident with people I don’t know and how to not let fears stop me from starting a conversation in the first place. A must read if you are a complete introvert like me but need to work on these skills for business or social reasons.
Girlboss. I love this show and I’m so glad Netflix have uploaded so many episodes already.
Fat Freddy’s Drop. I have had no choice but to listen to this band for the last few weeks. My boyfriend is obsessed and he’s off to see them in London in a couple of weeks.
At first I found the music a little too ‘backgroundy’ but now I’m slowly really starting to like it (shhh! Don’t tell him that) and really like listening to it in the car.
Smoothie bowls! I am addicted to smoothies. I normally make green smoothies and jam pack them full of kale and spinach. They’re my mid afternoon or early evening drink to give myself a little energy spike. Lately I’ve seen Pinterest fill up with smoothie bowls for breakfast and I really wanted to try one of my own.
Smoothie bowls are a little bit thicker than regular smoothies and you’re supposed to eat them with a spoon. To say this one was delicious is an understatement. You can find the recipe and a few others in my upcoming post this week and on my youtube channel!
I’ve done it again. I’ve accidentally on purpose stumbled onto Zara Kids and bought Evie a bunch of clothes. I am so addicted to their website it’s not even funny (sorry bank account).
She is going through another little growth spurt and is officially in 3 year old clothes, so I do have a good excuse to get her some new things. My favourite pieces are the blue striped strap top and ‘festival’ inspired shorts. I can see her wearing these a lot during summer.
We had a very relaxing and refreshing mini staycation to Bedruthan Steps Hotel and Spa. I absolutely love it here! It’s my second time staying and I really want to go back again a third time. We checked out their new Sensory Spa Garden, and it was such an incredible experience.
If you are ever coming to Cornwall with your family and are looking for somewhere to stay, I really cannot recommend Bedruthan enough. It is the most perfectly family friendly hotel I have ever stayed in. I could harp on forever about how amazing it is, but instead I urge you to check out my review. They make sure that parents leave feeling really rested, which is such an achievement!
That’s it for this weeks #Littleloves. I’ll see you next week where you can get a peak of our brand new car. Eeeeek!!!!!
