Huggies® Tiniest Footprint

Huggies® Tiniest Footprint

Huggies® Tiniest Footprint

Did you know that 468 baby wipes are used in the UK every second?

That’s so many wipes, and just think how many are used each day, or each week – a scary amount.

If you, like us, are trying to be more sustainable as a family, you are going to absolutely love the new Huggies mission!

Also, once you have read about it, it would be amazing if you could join me and help to spread the word!

In fact, if you do, as a huge thank you, I also have a special giveaway for you at the end of this post. But first, let me tell you a little bit about their bold movement towards sustainability.

Meet the Huggies®Tiniest Footprint Campaign!

A recent study by YouGov found that four in five parents (which is a HUGE amount!) are very worried about the impact that using baby wipes has on the environment.

I will put my hand up and say I’m one of them!

So, how come everybody hasn’t switched to an environmentally friendly wipe yet?

There are three main reasons; affordability (sustainable wipes are usually a lot more expensive), lack of knowledge about which wipes are environmentally friendly – and also a lack of options in supermarkets!

If you fall under any of these three categories, then you are going to be so excited to hear about the changes in my favourite Huggies Wipes.

Are you ready for it?

Huggies® is officially the first leading baby wipe brand to announce plans to COMPLETELY eliminate plastic from the baby wipe range in the UK within five years (or sooner!).

Yes, right this second Huggies is working closely with environmental organisations to make sustainable baby skincare a reality for everyone!

You can find out even more about this if you pop to the Huggies website here;

Oh, and that’s not all!

Huggies Wipes are not only super affordable, but already contain up to 50% less plastic than most leading brands!

How great is that? So, by switching to Huggies Wipes today, you would reduce your household plastic consumption by the equivalent of 63 plastic bottles a year’, if not more!

We’ve always been huge fans of Huggies.

If you’ve been following Life Unexpected from the start, you’d know that we fully relied on their tips to help us when it came to potty training our eldest! You can find out more about that here;

We also love them because of their ingredients! Both of my little ones (just like their parents) have super sensitive skin. My eldest actually had nappy rash quite severely as a baby and it wasn’t until we switched to Huggies that we were able to keep this at bay!

We then made the natural choice to continue using Huggies Wipes when my son was born, not just because they contain a lot less plastic, but also because of their gentle on skin ingredients.

How can we all help with Huggies® ‘Tiniest Footprint’ campaign?

Firstly, we can pledge our support for the Huggies® ‘Tiniest Footprint’ mission by taking three tiny steps:

  • Never flush baby wipes
  • Recycle all multipacks where possible
  • Reduce plastic use by choosing Huggies® over leading brands

If you too, are trying to be more sustainable, then you’ll know that it’s not always easy to make those swaps when you are a busy family on a budget!

But that’s exactly why Huggies is on a mission to make that so much easier for us!

We can also help by encouraging every other parent we know to join us on Huggies’ mission. Want to jump on board? If you do, you could win a month’s worth supply of Extra Care Wipes!

To enter, simply follow the link below to my Instagram page and find out how you can share this movement with as many people as possible!

    Now that I’m a bit older we’ve completely ‘wiped’ (excuse the pun), the need for baby wipes. I can’t believe how many are used! Thats crazy. Great to see Huggies are doing something for the environment x

    That’s great that they are planning on going completely plastic free!
