This weeks #mysundayphoto just had to be Evie meeting a penguin. It was such an adorable moment. We visited Paradise Park, a wildlife sanctuary, which is around the corner from our house.

We go quite regularly but haven’t ever taken part in the ‘meet the penguins’. Jamie had to hold her hands while she stroked the penguin as you were only supposed to stroke the bottom of their back. Evie was in full on cat mode and was trying to pet it from the top of it’s head down.

You can read more about Paradise Park in my post ‘Evie Meets A Penguin’. It really is a must visit if you’re ever in Cornwall.

she may not remember this when she gets older, but this will be a great photograph in years to come.

    Thanks for sharing. #MySundayPhoto

Thank you! She definitely won’t remember, but what a great excuse to take her again when she’s bigger. 🙂 x

I’ve never been to Paradise park, it’s a bit far from us though a couple of the kids have been on birthday parties with friends in the past. The penguins would be my favourite too, I even wanted some at Coombe Mill but they need a zoo licence.

It’s definitely a great day out. The birds are so beautiful and there is so much to do. Oh what a shame you can’t have penguins at Coombe Mill. They’d be such a lovely addition. They’re really adorable animals. The zoo keeper was telling us about how friendly they are to humans. The hand-reared ones especially as they don’t mind being petted or hand fed, but even the non hand-reared ones aren’t afraid of humans being around (so long as you don’t touch them) and quite enjoy their company. x

They are so adorable aren’t they. You should see if they have them in a zoo near you. Lots of places to meet and greets. It’s such a lovely moment. x

Oh no!!! I promise he’ll love it when he’s older though, I promise! Evie’s starting to recognise lots of animals and she treats them all like babies. It really makes a difference with the age for sure! x
