Chalk Puddles

This weeks #mysundayphoto is of Evie splashing in pink puddles!

We simply crushed up some pink chalk and added it to the puddles in our garden, then let Evie splash about to mix up the colour.

We were so impressed with how vibrant it turned out. There are so many variations of this that you can try.

You can add multiple colours, add glitter so it sparkles or even add vinegar to make it bubble and explode.

I see lots of inspiration online, of things to do indoors when its raining. But not much for what to do outside when it’s raining.

This week we’ve come up with ‘5 Outdoor Rainy Day Activities‘, so if you’re also in need of some inspiration, feel free to go and check it out!

Have you ever made chalk puddles?

Ooh, I like the idea of adding (literally) a splash of colour to puddle-jumping. One for us to try with our puddle-loving kids!

The chalk puddles match her boots perfectly, I must say I’m ready for a few blue sky days, they have been missing in Cornwall these past couple of weeks.

They really do match! I am so ready for more blue skies too! We were quite lucky again this morning. I’m not quite ready to embrace Winter yet, but it’s definitely here now. x

It is so much fun! The colours are really vibrant as well and if you add vinegar it makes it bubble and explore which is a really cool effect. x
