PENDENNIS CASTLE 3

This weeks #mysundayphoto is a really precious moment for me. This week we visited Pendennis Castle, which is quite close to my heart. My grandparents used to live literally next door to the castle. I used to visit them a lot and used to run around the grounds of the castle most weekends, getting lost in my imagination and usually pretending that I was a Princess. It was so lovely seeing my daughter running around here like I used to, Β and I must admit I did get quite emotional.

Lovely photo. One of my favourite things is taking Amelia to places I have fond memories of as a child. It is most places but still such a lovely feeling! X

Thank you for your lovely comment. It’s definitely strange seeing them stand where you once did and play the same ways you used to. It’s like watching your own memories all over again. πŸ™‚ x

Oh this is just so magical, I really know the feeling of getting emotional when you take your child somewhere that used to belong to your own childhood. Really beautiful capture x

That sounds really special. It can feel surreal to have our own children in places we played as a child. Amazing too. Thanks for sharing. Kirsten

Especially when you realise how quickly that time passes! Now I know how my parents must have felt 20 odd years ago watching me where they grew up. x

In a couple of years she will be well and truly into that role play stage and will love to visit with you and play princesses with you. I am sure it will be story she will want to hear over and over again.
