Welcome back to Snapshots and Scenes, where we share some video and photo snippets full of our favourite memories from the month before.
November was such a lovely month. I really feel like I’ve been able to enjoy my toddler a little bit more in the last few weeks. For the first time ever, I’ve managed to get the balance right with work and family time. We’ve enjoyed so many cosy and special moments all together and have made some really lovely family memories.
Some of the highlights have been taking Evie to see Santa, feeding the oh so friendly squirrels at Tehidy Woods and discovering some new little gems where we can stop off for a cheeky coffee and cake.
Snapshots & Scenes – Winter Has Come…
I was so gutted that I couldn’t join in with Snapshots and Scenes last month. I’ve joined in every month pretty much since the start. But, so sadly, both my cameras broke at the end of September so I didn’t get much footage in October. Both of my cameras finally got fixed at the start of November though., which I’m so grateful for. Tying to work without a camera is not much fun!
If you’re new to Life Unexpected, Snapshots & Scenes is a monthly linky run by a few of my favourite bloggers. The idea is to share your months favourite highlights in a short minute long video or by sharing a few of your favourite images.
This is one of my favourite linkies and it’s really encouraging me to be more creative with film. At the same time I get to put together my favourite memories from the month and have a beautiful keepsake to look back on in years to come. Here’s my video highlights of the month:
Alongside our little family video, I’ve also included some of my favourite pictures of the month below. From pumpkin picking, to some cherished family photos and Evie actually smiling! Trying to get my daughter to smile for the camera is no easy feat and for the first time EVER she has started to love having her pictures taken, not only solo but also with me. If you follow my ‘Her and Me’ series, you’ll know its a running joke that if I try and get a picture with Evie and myself, she always pulls a horrible face.
I was also incredibly blessed last month and work wise I had some amazing collaborations. The main one was getting to work with Land Rover and go on a family adventure with one of their cars, to St.Michaels Mount. It was such a ‘pinch myself’ moment and I also managed to get some of my favourite pictures from the year during this collaboration.
I have to admit, Winter is my least favourite season. But, I am really looking forward to Christmas. We’ve been trying to get festive by making lots of Christmas crafts, reading kids books about Christmas and doing lots of present shopping. I can’t believe the next time I join in with this linky it will be the New Year. 2017 has completely flown by and I’m feeling quite overwhelmed with just how quickly time seems to go by. Making memories and catching them in videos and pictures seems to be ever more important to me. I love that we can look back and enjoy once more, our highlights of the year.
I hope you all have a beautiful December. I’ll see you next month for another ‘Snapshots & Scenes’.
