Fellow mums! We really need to give ourselves more credit. Sometimes I do wonder how on earth we balance it all.

As a mum who has two jobs and a full time toddler, I know I definitely struggle to squeeze in everything that I need to get done.

We’re always juggling something aren’t we?

Be it washing, food shopping, bill paying, school runs, playdates, working. Then there’s remembering birthdays and anniversaries, buying presents, sorting out holidays and childcare, as well as trying to squeeze in some family time, dates with our friends and time for ourselves.

Phew! I’m exhausted just writing that.

Trying to balance everything can sometimes be really tough. I love, love, love being organised. I know it’s not everyones cup of tea, but it’s always been one of my strong points.

Recently however, I’ve been really struggling to keep on top of things. I have felt zapped of energy, I’ve become forgetful and I’ve been feeling like I’m always in catch up mode.

It was perfect timing when a few weeks ago, I was introduced to a life saving, uber organising app called LadyPlans. Ever one to try and find a new and innovative way to be organised, I just had to give it ago.

Ultimate App For Busy Mums

I’m telling you now, you need this app in your life.

It’s the ultimate app for busy mums and women in general, and it allows you to organise every aspect of your life. From work, to home, to friends, to family.

LadyPlans motto is to;

‘Empower women to anticipate and plan their priorities, from daily tasks to life-changing events’.

From storing your food shopping lists, to reminding you to get a present for your grandmas birthday, to checklists for the build up to your holiday abroad, and even an area to plan that baby shower you’re throwing for a friend, LadyPlans doesn’t miss anything out.

It was designed by mums with mums in mind!

Ultimate App For Busy MumsUs women have so many hats to constantly wear don’t we? We are partners, mothers, employees and some of us are mumpreneurs, daughters and friends.

We all know that time is precious. We all want more time to ourselves, time with our family, time with our friends, time to just sit and be still for a moment.

This app not only organises your time, but it gives you time!

The app has four main features; a calendar, event maker, planner and checklists.

Ultimate App For Busy Mums

You know that dentist appointment you have in six months time? That gym class that you always forget to attend? That dinner party for your best friends birthday next week? And that wedding you’ve lost the save the date for that is some point in the future?

Add them all in the event maker, and you’ll never need to remember them again. It even has separate sections for your work life, social life, your health, your house, your partner, your kids, your holidays, your celebrations…all you have to do is fill in the dates and times for everyone, and your calendar will do the rest for you!

Checklists can also be added to these dates so that you’re reminded to buy presents or to complete tasks in time for the specific event! Genius!

I love planning events, be it Christmas, birthday parties, holidays, dinner parties or baby showers. The planners section of this app is nothing short of amazing.

Simply select the date and type of event/party and the planner will automatically guide you through the step by step process to the build up to it, by automatically creating ‘dates’ for when everything needs to get done by.

For example; you are planning a birthday party. Enter the date into the planner and it will create editable tasks for you, such as ‘buy outfit’, ‘book restaurant’, ‘buy decorations’ and provide editable dates for when these tasks need to be done. It also enters all of this information into the calendar so you never have to check back on your progress.

What’s more, if it’s a recurring event like Christmas, the Planner can hold those checklists so that you can use it year after year! Mind blown!

I love checklists. I would be completely lost without them. I use checklists for practically everything.

This app not only lets you create checklists, but it goes one step further and has many pre-made checklists ready for you to customise so that you never forget any tiny details. Not only this, but it all automatically gets synced to your calendar!

There are pre-made checklists for everything. From baby showers, to Christmas, to children’s gift ideas, to food shopping, birthday parties, a school supplies shopping list and so much more.

I live by my calendar. I have baby groups and appointments to attend for Evie, I’m balancing two jobs, I have childcare to set up, deadlines to adhere to and dates to uphold.

To say my calendar is my life is an understatement. Without it, I’d crumble into a heap on the floor. It’s the only thing that keeps me on top of everything.

The great thing about the LadyPlans calendar is that it can be synced with your iCloud, Outlook exchange and Google calendar so you don’t need to toggle between them or transfer anything over yourself. You can also view it in four different ways; as a list, a week view, a month or a year, allowing you to quickly identify important events without having to flit back and forth.

Ultimate App For Busy MumsMy favourite part about the app is that you can also add in your house, your job, your children and your partner to their own separate sections.

Within each person you can set their own health appointments, write checklists for things you need to buy for them from the shops, you can even plan their birthday parties and play dates. It keeps every aspect or your life separate but organised, so you can see it all clearly before you in one little organised app.

With so much to remember, this app is the perfect companion.

I now use the app for absolutely everything. It’s my little pocket saviour. I went to Sicily last week and not only could I write a checklist of the items I needed to pack, but there was a pre-made list with everything that I needed to do in the lead up to my holiday, and I could easily make and store an itinerary of everything I was going to do whilst I was there.

Thank you LadyPlans! This app has not only freed up some time for me, but it’s made one very frazzled and tired mama more on top of things and ready to take on the world again!

This really is the ultimate app for busy mums! If you want it too, you can find it on the app store.

I’ll have to check this out. I’ve tried a few different organising apps and online calendars and not really found anything that quite works for me yet (then I revert back to making lists). I like the idea of having something to plan in the run up to events and holidays. I’ll let you know how it goes.

This sounds like a good app, I use spreadsheets for a lot of this planning birthdays, Christmas etc. I often combine paper and digital too. I have to say I’m not sure why but I’m not really liking the name. Can’t put my finger on it though. I still think I will check it out though…
