ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE FOR WOMEN

ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE FOR WOMEN

This wish list has taken me absolutely forever to pull together. I’ve been thinking long and hard about Christmas gifts for women and what we really want. I saw lots of people shopping the other day for loved ones and I have to admit, I cringed a little bit when I saw what some people were buying for their partners, just because they wanted to get it over and done with.

If you are shopping for the women in your life and you’re reading this, don’t just buy anything! Firstly, it’s a waste of money and secondly, why not actually treat them? Buying something special and beautiful means extra kudo-points for yourself and in return you’re making someone feel so amazing.

If you’re not sure what to get, I’ve hand picked some truly beautiful products. From the BEST beauty products on the market, to high quality fitness gear, homewares, presents for the foodie in your life and even some stocking fillers that will leave a lasting impression. I’ll be handing this list over to my own family too in the hope that Santa might bring me something special this year.

Whether you’re looking for inspiration for your own Christmas wish list, or you are buying for a loved one, I have a feeling you’re going to find something perfect below.

THE BEAUTY ADDICT

Lets start with a little something for the beauty addict. If you’re buying for a loved one, you might find the idea of buying make-up overwhelming. But, I promise that any one of the products below will go down an absolute treat. Particularly anything by Charlotte Tilbury.

You cannot go wrong with products by the world famous ‘make-up artist to the stars’ and beauty extraordinaire . If you’re buying for your partner, you will get some major kudo-points for shopping any of her products. They are the best of the best. If you’re not sure what your partner would like and you really don’t want to get it wrong, then I can assure you the ‘Beauty Icons Gift Set’ (which you can read all about in my review here) in the bottom right hand corner is the perfect choice.

The other items I’ve included, have been ranked some of the most ‘popular’ beauty products of the year. The Chanel products in particular are absolute classics. A Chanel lipstick would make the perfect stocking filler and both ‘Chanel No.5’ and ‘Coco Mademoiselle’ are sought after perfumes. If you or your partner prefers something more vibrant though, then anything in the ‘Benefit’ range will be adored. Benefit do lots of different ‘gift boxes’ including the one above, so its worth a shop around.

THE FREQUENT TRAVELLER

I’m the first to admit that I am addicted to travelling. After going on 12 planes in the last year alone, I know a thing or two about what to pack. Any of these gifts below will be appreciated a frequent traveller. A few of them I already own and a few have been added to my own Christmas wish list.

The first thing I can recommend is the ‘Swell’ bottle. I have the Swell bottle below in a grey colour. It is amazing for travelling. It will keep your drinks warm or cool and is perfect for stowing away in your suitcase. The ‘bag-all’ organisers are my absolute favourite on this list though. They are on my own ‘Christmas Wish List’ for this year. If you are a woman, you’ll know all too well, how easy it is for your bra hooks to snag on dresses or tights in your suitcase. These organiser bags will help you to keep all of your belongings separate and you can organise your shoes, dirty clothes, make-up and underwear.

If you are a frequent flyer then I cannot recommend the ‘Charlotte Tilbury’ travel beauty set enough. I have these products already and the creams keep your skin hydrated and glowing. For some reason, my skin always goes dry or spotty if I go to another country. Since using Charlotte Tilbury products, it just stays fresh and soft.
I also have this exact travel wallet and it’s perfect for families. It’s big enough for all your tickets and all your passports and fits snugly into any travel bag or hand bag. I also adore this ‘Topshop Rain Mac’. This is on the top of my ‘travel wish list’ for this year. It comes in a whole range of colours and is great if you’re going on holiday, but you don’t want to take a big chunky coat. This thin mac packs down really small and is not only stylish, but it’s perfect for the plane while you’re transferring from one weather to another.
I’ve put both ‘Ted Baker’ suitcases on my ‘dreamy’ Christmas wish list. They’re so gorgeous and would make an ideal upgrade from my standard black one. You definitely wouldn’t miss either of these on the conveyor belt. When we went to Cape Town earlier this year, I had to wait for the carousel to come around 3 times before I spotted my ‘samey’ suitcase amongst the sea of others. If you or your loved one loves travelling, a beautiful suitcase will be much appreciated.

THE CANDLE LOVER

If you’ve got a candle lover in your life, then any of these candles below will be loved. I’ve heard incredible things about the ‘Fable’ candle. It’s been featured in a lot of magazines this year. My favourites on this list though are the Linea candle and the ‘Neom’. They both smells so gorgeous and you can’t go wrong with the ‘Linea’ one if you are on a budget.
I do really love the design of the concrete ‘Paddywax’ candle though (please lovely fiancee, take note if you are reading this!) and also the pop of colour from the Voluspa ‘Prosecco Rose’ candle. Any of these would make a lovely addition to stockings.

THE HOMEMAKER

Do you have a home decor obsessive in your house? They’re sure to love any of these products below. All of them are set to make waves in 2018. Chunky knitted blankets are not going anywhere and are set to be even more popular next year. You can get them in a whole range of colours. My favourite is this green one below, but I also LOVE light grey.  I also really like the chunky knitted cushions, like the pink one below, They are set to become all the rage next year and ‘wall hanging weaves’ are also taking over as the staple home accessory.

I’ve ordered a weave for Christmas for my own house and have also ordered 6 of the gorgeous ‘Oliver Bonas’ mugs. We were planning on getting a few fluffy rugs for our house too as a ‘couple treat’ to each other, but we just couldn’t wait for the big day and got them a little bit early. Any one of these products would make the perfect ‘big main present’ or gorgeous mini presents for those stockings.

THE FITNESS QUEEN

The new year is coming! Do you or = your partner have any fitness resolutions? Maybe they’re already a bit of a fitness queen? We’ve rounded up the best products for both gym and at home workouts. I personally have these adidas shoes and they are so comfortable, especially for running and other cardio.

I was also given a Fitbit last Christmas and it was possibly the best thing I’ve used all year. Especially now I work at home, it shows me just how much I’m moving around and encourages me to do a lot more exercise. If you have someone who loves exercise or wants to do a little bit more in 2018, you can’t go wrong with a Fitbit.

My favourite things on this list are the ‘Run All Out’ top and the two sports bags. If you’re not sure what to get though, how about a new gym bag? I have one of these on my wish list as my handbag just won’t do anymore. I also really want the ‘Juice Workout’ jumper. It’s so adorable and perfect for keeping snug going to and from the gym.

THE FOODIE

Do you have a foodie in your life? Then I’m sure they’ll lov any of these products below as a main present or stocking filler. I was bought a nutribullet last year for my birthday and it gets used every single day. It’s probably the most used product in our kitchen and makes everything from juices, to soups, to sauces, to smoothies! If you haven’t got one, it’s a must have. I also bought the personalised cheese board below, for my mum last Christmas and she absolutely adores it.

I’ve asked around a few of my ‘foodie’ friends to see what they’ve asked for this Christmas. Three of them have said they want a ‘Kitchen Aid’! We have something similar in our kitchen, but as soon as we move house we’re planning on upgrading because they really are the bees knees. I’ve tried out one of my friends who already has one and they are AMAZING. If you or the loved one in your life loves baking or cooking, then a Kitchen Aid is a must!

The picnic basket was added to this list courtesy of my fiancee. As a couple we go on lots of picnics and this personalised picnic basket would be so adorable for our dates in spring/summer. A few of our friends also told me to add a Nespresso machine to this list. After trying one out recently to see what all the fuss was about, I have also added this Nespresso machine to my own wish list for this year (please Santa!). We’ve just made over our home office and it would be so lovely to have one of these to help us through our working day. We were recommended the Magimix by numerous of people but the ‘Inissia’ also came in at a close second.

STOCKING FILLERS

How about starting the new year being a little more snug, a little more organised, a little more joyful and a little more sparkly? Any one of these stocking fillers would go down an absolute treat. My personal favourites from this list (please take note my beautiful fiancee!) are the ‘Happiness Planner’ and the ‘Get A Grip’ bag. I think the ‘Get A Grip’ bag is absolutely genius for organising those pesky hair clips that always go missing and turn up in the most random of places.

I also adore the idea of giving a pandora charm bracelet as a gift. I was given one myself for a special occasion a couple of years ago and it went down such a treat. They’re such a perfect gift idea because you can keep adding to them and building them up. I now get charms for every single birthday, Christmas or occasion that is fitting.

I also really adore the sleep mask and make-up bag. They make the perfect stocking filler for any women in your life. I saw the make-up bag in a shop the other day (and tried hinting by dropping lots of phrases about how much I loved it). It was so soft and really roomy for make-up or wash products. The sleep mask is also so adorable and great if you are a frequent traveller.
I hope this ‘Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide For Women’ helped you to get some inspiration for your own wish list or for your loved one. I’d love to know which of these is your favourite and what you’ve asked for this Christmas. Because I’m feeling really festive, I also decided to get my ‘Santa’ hat on and run a little giveaway just because. Enter below to win some gorgeous lipsticks by the amazing ‘Charlotte Tilbury’. Happy holidays from Life Unexpected!
