Welcome back to ‘Organise Your Blog’, a weekly series full of fabulous free printables to help you organise every aspect of your blog. From editorial calendars, to daily blogging checklists, to a printable to help you join in with linky’s quicker!
This weeks ‘Organise Your Blog’ is a little bit different than the norm. As you know, being a blogger can sometimes be overwhelming. A blogger’s work is never done. You’re swamped with deadlines, posts to write, pictures to take, comments to respond to, social media promotion. The list goes on.
Instead of a free printable, this week I’m going to share with you a tool that I couldn’t blog without and I’ll be showing you why it’s perfect for all bloggers. There’s also a little giveaway at the end of this post to say thank you to everyone whose been following this series so far.
I introduce to you, the ‘Ultimate Diary For Bloggers‘.
There is a lovely little company called ‘Busy B‘ that create beautiful stationary and clever diaries and organisers, that help to make family life simpler. If you love stationary then I suggest popping over to their website for a little browse. The products are brilliant!
The product that I could not blog without is the new ‘To Do‘ diary in the BusyB range. It really is the ‘Ultimate Diary for Bloggers‘. We’re constantly planning our weeks, our months, writing notes and making contacts.
Not only does this diary help you to keep on top of your blogging, but, as an added bonus it is really pretty and fits perfectly inside your handbag. I’ve rounded up a few other reasons why you need this diary in your life.
1. It has an editorial calendar –
This monthly overview page is the perfect place to plan posts for each month. I would be lost without an editorial calendar. I always write my month at a glance so I can see which posts I’ve got coming up. This ensures I can keep on top of my blog ‘series’ posts and so that I can slot in any brand collaborations that arise.
I find it so handy having a month overview inside my diary. It means that when I’m out and about I can have a quick peek and see what I’ve got coming up. This sometimes prompts me to snap some pictures while I’m out, or reminds me that I need to buy some supplies from a shop for a particular post.
2. It has a week overview, with a notes section next to it –
This is amazing for breaking down your week. There is enough space to write what you need to do each day, which posts you have planned, which linky’s you’re joining in with. The handy notes section on the side is incredibly helpful for jotting down extra things that you need to get done during the week without having to slot them into a specific day.
3. It has a reminders section at the beginning of each quarter –
I use this for jotting down upcoming events like a blogging conference, or to remind me that I need to start work on Easter posts or even Christmas posts. I also use this section to set myself blogging goals that I plan to achieve over the next few months.
4. Tear off notes –
There are perforated pages at the back of the diary that are great for making lists and tearing them out while you’re on the go.
Maybe it’s for writing your blogging shopping list, your to do list, or just for scrawling ideas. I like to use these pages for writing my daily to do list and for brainstorming post ideas. Having perforated lines means that I can easily tear them out and throw them away when I’m done, so that my diary doesn’t get too cluttered.
5. Contacts –
There are several pages dedicated to contacts. It’s a great place to store numbers and e-mails of bloggers and brands, which is especially good for if you’re going to a meet up or a blogging conference and you need people’s numbers to hand. It’s also a great place to transfer the information from all of the business cards that you collect. I am forever losing business cards!
6. Dates for next year –
Even though I am incredibly organised, I am also really forgetful. Maybe you need to remember your blogiversary, or maybe you need to remember a blogging conference date so that you can book early-bird tickets. This section is perfect for writing down important dates that crop up during your blogging year.
