This is a gift guide with a difference. I’m about to introduce to you the most unique Christmas gift ideas for both kids and grown ups too! Not only are you about to fall in love with all the products listed below, but you will also be so glad you stumbled across lots of these companies.
What’s different about this gift guide? Every single product here has been created by a Mum run business. Every single one of these products are unique, innovative and quite frankly something you will adore. In this list you will be able to find gifts for the smallest of kids, to the oldest of grown ups. I also have a feeling you are about to discover some of your new FAVOURITE online stores. I will be very surprised if you don’t.
If you are a regular reader of Life Unexpected, you will know just how passionate I am about supporting Mums who have started their own businesses. Over the past couple of years I have interviewed and featured a lot of Mums on Life Unexpected via my ‘Interview With A Mum In Business Series’. If I’ve learnt one thing from them, it’s that running your own business around the juggle of family life is not easy! It takes passion, dedication, a lot of balancing and a lot of late nights.
Another thing I have discovered is one very true and common fact. Every single time you buy from a Mum run business, there is a real person behind that screen doing a little happy dance. You are literally making their day, supporting their dream and showing them that all those hours have been so worth it!
I would be so grateful if you could spend a few minutes looking through this Christmas gift guide and if you could take some time to support these small, wonderful businesses this Christmas, in anyway you can!

If you’re someone who puts together a kids Christmas Eve box every year (we love this tradition) then you really quickly need to check out Little Jaggers gorgeous Christmas pyjamas and Christmas stockings, before they sell out. They are so stunning! I love the prints on them and there are several to choose from. My favourite is the little bears. You can find those here!
Other than those two Christmas products, Little Jagger, run by Mum Rebecca, is home to the most unique and beautiful home decor products for kids. Each product features original designs that have all been hand printed and created in the UK. I’ve shared some of my absolute favourites below, but you need to check out the store, especially if you are fed up with typical ‘blue and pink’ prints that always seem to be around for kids rooms.

Cotton Twist literally has everything I’m always looking for and I can promise you, you are sure to find some Christmas gifts here! Trust me!
In the store you will find a huge variety of kids activity boxes; from jewellery making, to pirate ship making, to seasonal craft boxes such as the ones I’ve highlighted below. If you are looking for something for kids, but really don’t know what to get…
Not Another Birthday
Are you still really unsure on what to get your kids for Christmas this year? Head to online store ‘Not Another Birthday‘. Although their store name highlights birthdays, we think their gift boxes are suitable for any occasion.
On their website you will find a whole variety of activity based gift boxes. Each box contains thoughtful, beautifully packaged items that focus on activity, creativity or getting outside. One thing I really love about their boxes, is that even the box itself will be used and loved by your kids. The ‘doodle’ style boxes can either be colour in or used for creative play. We’ve highlighted a few of our favourite boxes below.

If you are looking for something outdoors inspired for kids…
Mud and Bloom
We really want to get Evie a ‘Mud and Bloom’ subscription box for Christmas! They look amazing! Have you heard of Mud and Bloom before? If you haven’t, they’re a company who send out monthly ‘nature and garden’ inspired activity boxes for kids.
The boxes are perfect for 3-8 year olds and each one includes seasonal based activities that are based around gardening and nature crafts. Each month you can expect to find things to plant, things to make, as well as nature news, a quiz and information that will teach kids about seasons, plants, insects, birds and so much more. I love that these boxes inspire learning through play and that they involve messy play, hands on activities and outdoor exploration.
If you don’t fancy a monthly rolling subscription though, you can buy one box at a time, gift vouchers or any past box! Definitely check out the Mud and Bloom website.

Ada and Alfred
I’ve shared a lot of gift inspiration for kids in this guide! But what about the Mums and Dads? Well, here is a shop for grown ups. Who doesn’t love a slogan t-shirt or jumper? I certainly love them.
Alex from Ada & Alfred designs the coolest slogan t-shirts, sweatshirts and so much more. I think any of her products would make such a fun Christmas gift for Mums and Dads. My personal favourites are the ‘coffee and conquer’ and ‘wine and winning’ slogans.
Her sweatshirts and t-shirts are all really high quality and super snuggly! She also does kids products too, from personalised backpacks to the cutest little leggings! Definitely check out her store.

The Happy Fox
If you know someone who loves eco friendly, positive things, then they will love The Happy Fox clothing company.

The ethos behind The Happy Fox is to help promote mental health and well-being in both adults and children. All of Abby’s products have positive statements reminding us to be kind to our minds! How lovely is that?
Even more amazing, 10% of each t-shirt sold is also donated to a fantastic charity called, Action For Happiness, whose aim is to increase well-being in homes, schools and workplaces. So, is that your Christmas shopping sorted?
If you liked any of these businesses that I shared above, both I and they would be so grateful if you could support them in anyway you can. Whether it’s buying your Christmas gifts from them or by sharing them with your family and friends. It would really mean the world to them and to me!
Each business I featured is run by a Mum (or two). They’re businesses that have literally been started from home and I cannot even begin to tell you the amount of hours and the amount of passion, dedication and love that goes into each of these little companies.
If you read some of the attached interviews you will find a common theme in each one. Every single Mum above is so determined to provide either helpful services or high quality, unique products that you can’t find anywhere else and that both you and your kids will love!
